Leicester Music Festival will be held on the 25th & 26th of July 2014.

Leicester is set to welcome the biggest and best music artists to the city in over a decade, as the inaugural Leicester Music Festival releases its tickets 25th November 2013.

Dubbed ‘LMF’, the major summer 2014 event has already announced top acts including, British hit-maker Professor Green, double Grammy award-winners Soul II Soul and multi-million selling singer and songwriter Billy Ocean.

These performers will join a unique line-up spanning soul, hip hop, reggae, pop and R’n’B – promising to give Leicester the most impressive music event in recent history.

Leicester Music Festival (LMF) will be held at Welford Road Stadium, the home of the Leicester Tigers, from midday to 10.30pm on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July 2014.

The event is the brainchild of two leading Leicester businessmen, Shane Whitfield and Manoj Keshavji. Shane and Manoj are both passionate about bringing A-list and international music acts to the city, to appeal to a diverse fan base. With more than £1million invested in LMF, they hope the event will put the spotlight on Leicester as an entertainment destination and boost the local economy.

The event has already won the backing of home-grown X Factor favourite Sam Bailey, former Leicester City Captain Steve Walsh and Leicester City Mayor Peter Soulsby. It is expected to sell out, with a capacity of 22,000 music- lovers allowed in each day.
